Cutting of Kite Panels
The fabric is rolled out on the cutting table.
The Meteor consists of 8 templates and using these templates each of the 8 panels are cut out using a hot iron. Heat cutting seals the fibres so they won’t fray. Reinforcements for the spine, nose and wingtips are cut out and pockets to hold the spars are made.
